Street Photography

Perhaps Nick Turpin summarised street photography well when he wrote that, "primarily street photography is not reportage or a series of images displaying together the different facets of a subject or issue. For the street photographer, there is no specific subject matter, only the issue of life in general".

Nick goes on to say that a street photographer does not leave the house in the morning with an agenda, and doesn’t visualise the photographs in advance of taking them. Street photography is about seeing and reacting, almost by-passing thought altogether.

In a candid, unobtrusive way, I have tried to do just that, document people doing life without disturbing them.
